Getty and Nvidia reveal new technology at CES 2024: Text prompts now generate AI stock images
At the CES 2024, numerous technological advancements, particularly in AI, are being witnessed at the start of the year. Nvidia, renowned for its exceptional AI chips, has made significant progress at the CES event by unveiling various innovative features and AI enhancements for its products. Expanding its focus beyond chips, Nvidia has partnered with Getty Images to introduce a new AI image generator called Generative AI by iStock, catering to designers and businesses. About iStock’s Generative AI
It is an AI image creation tool that allows users to create images from simple prompts. iStock’s Generative AI is built on NVIDIA Picasso, allowing users to create licensed images with legal protection and usage rights, Nvidia reported. Designed to serve the needs of businesses, iStock is trained on the distinctive and massive Getty editorial image library – it avoids creating images with trademarks or identifiable individuals.
Grant Farhall, Getty’s chief product officer, was quoted by The Verge as saying, “It allows users to be more efficient in their workflow and get the more accurate images they need, even something they can’t do with a camera.” Getty also announced that it will soon introduce Inpainting and Outpainting features to iStock.com and Gettyimages.com in the future.
That’s why now with iStock’s Generative AI, designers and businesses can leverage text-to-image creation tools to create compelling visuals in seconds. The Verge also said the new tool will cost $14.99 for 100 prompts, and each user prompt will generate four images for users to choose from.
CES 2024 is in full swing and will continue until January 12, 2024, so we will see more such innovations and new products from top brands in the coming days.
